About Charles Sharrett:
Charles Sharrett joined London Amburn in 2018 and is an associate of the firm. He provides counsel to a wide range of clients including individual physicians, physician groups, nursing care providers, physician entities, emergency service providers as well as non-healthcare businesses.

Mr. Sharrett focuses his legal efforts on matters pertaining to medical malpractice defense, nursing and long-term care, contract law, transportation and healthcare board investigations. He is involved in all aspects of client representation in complex litigation, including expert witness coordination, deposition preparation and execution, court filings and responses, settlement negotiation as well as trial preparation and defense.

Mr. Sharrett was motivated to pursue health law because of its dynamic, multi-faceted nature and the need for a solid comprehension of a broad spectrum of legal theories. He is particularly interested in liability issues and client defense. As the spouse of a provider, he readily understands the day-to-day concerns and challenges of healthcare professionals and works diligently to ensure his clients are well-prepared, comfortable and adequately informed on all aspects of their case and its progression through the legal system.

He is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association and the Knoxville Bar Association (KBA).  He is active in the KBA Barristers young attorney group, serving as co-chair of its Hunger and Poverty Relief Committee. He is a key organizer of KBA’s annual “Brews for Backpacks” school supply donation drive as well as the annual Second Harvest Food Drive. Mr. Starrett provides support for several Knoxville-area organizations including Veterans Legal Aid Clinic and Knox Area Rescue Ministries.

He and his wife live in Knoxville with their two dogs. He enjoys tennis, fly fishing and East Tennessee’s abundant outdoor activities.
